Vote, Vote, Vote!

Hello friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and avoided the damage of Hurricane Irene.

I have some exciting news! Remember last year, when I entered a photo contest and my picture was a finalist and then the runner up? Well, I've decided to enter another photo contest! It's by the same photographer, Nancy Thomas Photo, just a different theme this time. The theme for this months contest is "Night Light" and here's the picture I entered...

Now, before I go on and on about how you must vote for me and yadda yadda yadda, I want to give y'all a little background about the contest. It's a monthly thing that has been going on all year and it helps benefit Artreach 4 Kids, a non-profit organization aimed at raising awareness about the importance of art and at raising funds to "provide the necessary outlet in school programs that will enhance cognitive and social development in kids." (To find out more information, click the link). I have personally been involved with this organization and let me just tell y'all, it's been so great! The people are amazing and it's for such a great cause! We've seen such a wonderful response from the community at the first event, and it's been an awesome experience! If you want to find out more information or get involved just contact me, or like Artreach 4 Kids on facebook! :)

Anywaaaay... you can help support Artreach (and myself!) in two ways:

1) Go HERE and vote for my picture, Night Horizon! You can vote up to 6 times a day until September 2nd, if you feel so inclined ;) And let me just say, the other pictures are absolutely amazing. You won't hurt my feelings if you decide to vote for them too!

2) You can sponsor me! If I can raise $100 by the end of this year, than my photo will be displayed at the end of the year gala, and I'll have a chance to win Aspiring Artist of the Year. Not only is this an awesome opportunity for me, but all of the money goes to Artreach 4 Kids, which is so great!

Alright! Sorry for the little spiel, but I hope you will consider voting for me or sponsoring me, it would mean the world!

Thanks and love to you all,
Brittany
