Flash Back

Let's go back in time 2 years to fall semester, Sophomore year. Hillary, Alicia and I have all recently settled in to our new, lovely home in Bragaw. We are finally all living near each other (no more walking back and forth between Tucker and Lee!) and it is exciting and wonderful! So wonderful, in fact, that on a Friday(?) night we decided to stay in instead of going out. And as a result of that, this masterpiece was born...

Brace yourselves.

Okay now be honest, have you ever seen anything more amazing? I didn't think so. Call up B.Spears, we got a new music video for her...

It's That Time of Year Again...

You know how they say 'little boys are a gift from heaven'? Or, 'Thank Heaven for little boys'?

Source
Well, I disagree. Girl Scout cookies are a gift from heaven. Thank Heaven for Girl Scout cookies. More specifically, Thin Mints and Samoas (and yes, I will still call them by their original name even though technically they are called something lame now).

To celebrate girl scout cookie season (the best season of the year) I bought 4 boxes! Two of each of my favorites.

I'm going to get so fat in these next few weeks...right before Spring Break too, wonderful!

Speaking of Spring Break, look where Hilldy and I are going:

Sorry for the awful quality...I'll be sure to get take some good pictures when I'm there in TWO WEEKS!
COZUMEL, MEXICO!!!

I'm seriously so excited and I have no idea how we managed to find this amazingly cheap deal! Yay for relaxing on the beach, exploring, and taking millions of pictures :) If anyone would like to find me a job where I just get to travel the world and take pictures, that'd be amazing!

Peace out girl scouts!
(haha)

Only in a Jeep

I think I can confidently say that this will be the first and last Jeep I will ever own.

A few days ago as I was leaving work I noticed that the window behind the drivers side was down a crack, I didn't think I had put it down, but oh well, I thought, I'll just roll it up! Little Jeepy didn't like that idea. I pressed the button and some weird cranking noises were made and my window didn't budge. Great. So I drive on home from work and notice as I'm going that it is gradually sliding down a little bit more, well that's fun. Luckily it never went all the way down (and it's amazingly warm outside for February), and when I got back to my apartment I was able to just slide it right back up and all was good. I was even half excited that I had a fun little magic trick I could show my friends (slash Roommate).

Too bad that wasn't the end of it and it didn't magically fix itself. To prevent it from sliding down while I was driving (or to prevent someone from sliding down my window and breaking in to my car) I wedged an empty Orbit gum packet into the window so it would stay put. Brilliant plan, it worked wonderfully! Just call me an engineer...

Sorry for the poor camera phone quality!
But my car still hates me. Last night I drove to Olive Garden for a fun little girls night with my closest friends (perfect way to spend Valentines Day, by the way), and we noticed that, of course, the window behind the passenger side decided to be broken too. Hooray! Two is better than one anyway, right?! I didn't have another gum packet to jam in there, but we figured it would be alright and it even stayed up through our whole dinner at Olive Garden. So when I parked at the apartment for the night, I just slide the window back up and thought all would be dandy. Nope. I woke up this morning all ready to go to class only to find that the window had fallen all the way down

Another lovely camera phone picture!
Peace out window, I didn't want you in the first place. Luckily nothing in my car is missing, but there was no way I was about to trust my car with no window in the NC State parking lot.

So, instead of going to the two class that I have today, I'm taking a "mental health day" :) I drove on home and put my car in the garage where it is safe and where it will remain until it's appointment on Thursday. Maybe these mechanics can also tell me why my car refuses to blow out heat and or air conditioning when it's stopped at a light, stop sign, in traffic, etc.?

On the other hand, yesterday was a wonderful Valentines day! Complete with flowers, chocolate, yummy Italian food and wine, and best friends :)

I hope you all had a great one as well and that you shared it with the people you love!

I want Pizza! P-I-Z-Z-A!

Tonight I made my own dinner! As in I actually cooked dinner. I didn't heat a lean cuisine in the microwave and I didn't buy fast food. I made it all own my own.

Granted, it was just pizza. But hey, that's big for me!

Before it was cooked...
And after!
It was so yummy :) And now I have enough leftovers to last me for at least a few days!

I even decided to sit and eat at our table in our lovely kitchen, that we hardly ever use.

Ain't it so cute?!

My pizza night was almost as good as Mary Kate and Ashley's pizza night, but not quite. The only way it would have been complete is if I had sang an awesome song with my friends, and then slowed it down...

For some reason this video makes my roommate and I die laughing. We're cool.

But for real, how many of you remember that movie? I was all about some MK & Ashley! The real version of this song is HERE, in case you're curious.

Complete and total side note: My awesome roommate is sitting in her room right now, literally going insane. Who sits and plays a clip from an old movie and quotes it word for word? Oh yeah, she does. And I mean literally...word for word, right along with it. She's also been singing THIS all night. Seriously, insane. We all have our moments though...

Now I'm off to attempt to get some work done. Happy (almost) Weekend!

Got Six?

As most of you know (if you were connected with the world in any way this weekend) my Steelers lost the Super Bowl. My dad couldn't have said it better though, "Packers did not win the Super Bowl, the Steelers lost it! Still love my boys of black and gold!!" You know it's true. And hey, we still have six Super Bowl wins...who else can say that? Oh yeah...no one :)

So although I would have liked a better outcome, being in Pittsburgh with my cousin was still a blast!

The Strip was insane, filled with all kinds of fun characters dressed in black and gold:

We even managed to pop in to Bettis' on game day (3 hours and 30 minutes prior to kick off to be exact) to see the NFL network broadcast live:

I know you can't see them because of the poor quality, but I promise the cameras and crew are back there :)

Then we finally made it to our destination to sit, eat, and drink for 3 hours while waiting for the game to start:

All in all it was a good weekend and it felt great to be cheering with other people as passionate about the Steelers as I am! And hey...there's always next year, right? ;)

Pittsburgh!

Welp I'm off to glorious STEELERS COUNTRY to join in on all of the festivities for the Super Bowl!

Have a wonderful weekend...and be sure to wave those terrible towels high on Sunday!

HERE WE GO STEELERS!!!

Current Obsessions

I just want to share with all of you lovely readers out there three songs that I am currently obsessed with at the moment.

1) Give In To Me - Garrett Hedlund with Leighton Meester

This song is seriously so much fun to sing. One of the reasons I love it. And if you haven't seen Country Strong, do yourself a favor and go see it. I don't care if you don't like country music, see it!

2) A Little Bit Stronger - Sara Evans

I just like this for a variety of reasons :)

3) And of course, last but not least... Black & Yellow - Wiz Khalifa

Seriously, how could I leave this out? I feel like it's been playing on repeat in my head since the playoffs. And to all those Green Bay fans out there, Green and Yellow? Really? Sorry Lil Wayne, but no.

Here We Go Steelers!!!

Celebrity Crush?

So we all have a celebrity crush (or crushes), right?

Well, my wonderful roommate, Hillary, probably has the most celebrity crushes of any person I've ever known.

Anyone who knows her should know this. Or if maybe you didn't, than you certainly should after reading this blog post by Hillary.

But, if that's still not enough to convince you. Then how about this:

Here's the story behind this... It's just a typical Tuesday night. Hillary's hanging out in her room on her computer and I'm out in the hallway talking to the picture hanging up of Hines Ward. (We have a bit of a Steelers wall in the hallway between our rooms, it might be my favorite place in the apartment? I'm joking...). Hillary says "man, I wish I had pictures hanging up in my room of all the guys that I'm in love with." So I say, "Make a list and send it to me." I mean it can't be that long a list so a collage shouldn't be that hard, right? She laughs and thinks I'm joking and says "haha, omgosh a collage would be awesome!" I'm silently wondering why she's laughing at this, because I think its a perfectly feasible and brilliant idea. (Every girl needs some hot guy posted up somewhere in her room). So I respond, "For real. I'm making you one. Send it to me!" A few minutes later this appears in my inbox:

Seriously, how weird is my roommate?

And of course...when I opened it, I found that massive list. At least there's a better chance that she'll meet and fall in love with at least one of the twelve on that list, maybe?

I guess I'd better get on that collage....
